MYOFASCIAL TRIGGER POINT RELEASE

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE - TECHNIQUES TO STRETCH AND MOBILIZE THE CONNECTIVE TISSUE SURROUNDING MUSCLES .

FASCIA IS TISSUE THAT SURROUNDS AND SUPPORTS YOUR MUSCLES. INFLAMMATION CAN PROGRESS TO SYNDROMES SUCH AS BURSITIS OR PLANTAR FASCIITIS. ANY TRAUMATIC EVENT SPECIFICALLY MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS CAUSES FASCIA TO TIGHTEN AND LOSE ITS FLEXIBILITY. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, YOU DEVELOP TRIGGER POINTS AND TRIGGER BANDS .

THESE TRIGGER POINTS THAT SOMETIMES FEEL LIKE LUMPS BENEATH THE SKIN THAT CAN BE TENDER OR RADIATE PAIN AROUND THE AREA.

BLOOD SUPPLY AND OXYGENATION TO THE PAINFUL AREA TO TRAP  THE TISSUE
